Congratulations to Rose and her grandson Grant!

Oakmont Sterling would like to wish hearty congratulations to Grant S. – grandson of our resident Rose – and his entire Troy Ducks hockey team for their championship win in the District 3 championship game!

Grant was so proud of his victory, he wanted to share it with his Grandma Rose. So he dropped off his medal and she proudly wore it around our community and showed it off to all of her friends.

Congratulations to Grant, the Troy Ducks, and Grandma Rose!

St. Patrick’s Day Meal Giveaway at Livonia Senior Center from Oakmont Livonia

To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Jessica, our Assistant Director at Oakmont Livonia, hosted a safe and socially distant drive-through meal pickup at the Livonia Senior Center. On the menu was Chef Lynn’s famous Cottage Pie – her version of the delicious Irish classic dish. Along with the pre-packed homemade meal, seniors also received a copy of the recipe so they could make it on their own whenever they’d like.

We know you may be GREEN with envy, but we want to thank all of the seniors who came out to enjoy a to-go meal from our kitchen as well as the staff from the Livonia Senior Center for their help and support!

Happy International Woman’s Day from Oakmont Senior Communities

As people around the world gather to celebrate International Women’s Day, Oakmont Senior Communities is proud to recognize the many incredible women who have called our communities home over the past several decades.

Within the walls of our communities, we’ve welcomed women who’ve achieved incredible feats in their lifetime – pursuing passions, raising families, and working their way up to the highest levels of vocations and industries all over the world. Our friends and neighbors at Oakmont have been teachers and professors, executives, lineworkers, saleswomen, Rosie the Riveters, Marines, writers, mothers, grandmothers, great grandmothers, aunts, union leaders, politicians, and so much more. They’ve also been artistic, creative, sensitive, brave, loving, caring, and have refused to settle for less than they wanted or deserved. They are a constant inspiration to us all.

Incredible women also make up our staff. Oakmont is proud to have strong, bold woman leaders at every level of our company. From our ownership and management to our activities departments and directors, it is the incredible women in our company who help make our five Oakmont Communities a comfortable, elegant, and wonderful place to call home for our seniors.

On International Women’s Day, we celebrate all of the women who have come before us and all who will come next. We celebrate their achievements, toast their accomplishments, and work to support their goals as we strive toward a more equitable future for all.

Happy International Women’s Day from Oakmont Senior Communities!
