Wedding Bells at Oakmont Parkway for Jeremy and Clare

Though social distancing is in full effect at Oakmont Parkway, nothing could stop grandson Jeremy from sharing his happiness and nuptials with his grandma Joanne on his wedding day.

Jeremy and his new bride, Clare, stopped by the community all dressed up for their big day to show Joanne just how much she means to them. With a sign stating “Hi Grandma – We Love You!” the happy couple was able to include her in their celebration with smiles all around.

From our Oakmont family, we wish Jeremy and Clare a long and happy marriage!

Celebrating Mother’s Day 2020 at Oakmont!

At Oakmont Senior Communities, we feel that every resident who calls one of our communities home is part of our family. That’s why we wanted to make sure that, even with lockdowns in place across Michigan, our mothers, grandmothers, and great grandmothers that live with us had a day that was as special as them.

Our Executive, Assistant, and Activity Director’s jumped into action with some creative ideas designed just for their residents. Whether it was the Mother’s Day Parade at Oakmont Sterling that attracted more than 35 cars of friends and family; the flower delivery at Oakmont Manor from a local florist; or the beautiful pamper boxes full of goodies at Oakmont Livonia, Mother’s Day was a big success throughout our communities.

Executive Order 2020-59: Oakmont Will Continue Safety and Security Protocols

To best protect our communities and remain within the legal guidelines of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Executive Order 2020-59 issued on April 24th, 2020, all Oakmont Senior Communities will remain on full lockdown until further notice.

Following the advice of medical professionals, industry leaders, and local and state health officials, the steps our communities have taken during this lockdown are necessary to keep our residents and staff protected and our buildings safe from communicable diseases. This includes the prevention of all non-essential visits including from medical personal and family members according to section 7, point 11 of the Governor’s recent order.

As the COVID-19 crisis is an evolving situation, we will continue to keep our residents and their families notified of any updates as they become available. Thank you for your support and understanding at this challenging time.
