To Our Residents and Families:
In response to the steadily rising transmissions of COVID-19 in Metro Detroit and following the guidance of our state government and health officials, Oakmont Livonia will be temporarily adjusting our building visitation, departure, and activity protocols to best support continued health and safety measures within our community.
For the next two weeks (including the Thanksgiving holiday), residents will only be permitted to leave and return to our building for essential medical appointments. If you believe you have an appointment that qualifies as essential, please inform a member of our management team at least 24 hours before the appointment. Any resident who leaves the building for other reasons will be subject to a 14-day SMP quarantine upon their return.
Similarly, in-person visitation will now be limited to pre-approved medical, service, and caregiving staff only. Residents and families are still welcome to visit by utilizing one of our outdoor spaces by appointment only.
Effective immediately, all group activities will also be suspended. However, our activities and management staff will continue to keep our residents engaged. Our socially distanced dining protocols will be unaffected. These changes will be rescinded or reassessed on December 1st.
Thank you for your help, concern, and patience as we do all we can to make sure our buildings stay free of communicable disease and our residents stay safe. If you have any questions or concerns about this new policy, please do not hesitate to speak to your Executive Director
Thank you,
Oakmont Senior Communities
